Overview
Provides up to $1,000,000 to support public community facility improvements in Alberta. Funding supports renovation, expansion, acquisition, or new construction projects led by eligible non-profit organizations.
Activities funded
- Renovating an existing public community facility
- Expanding an existing public community facility
- Acquiring an existing facility to be used as a public community facility
- Constructing a new public community facility

Documents Needed
Eligibility
- The applicant must be a registered community non-profit organization in good standing for at least two years under eligible Alberta provincial or Canadian federal legislation.
- The organization must have an Alberta-based address that is regularly monitored by an active member of the organization.
- The project must address local facility improvement needs.
- The facility must be intended primarily for use by the general public and for community benefit.

How to apply
Step 1: Register for portal access
- Register to access the Grant Application Tracking Evaluation (GATE) Front Office at least 10 days before the Expression of Interest closing date.
- Complete and submit the Expression of Interest online through the GATE Front Office.

- Funding decisions are typically communicated around December.
