• Costs unrelated to conferences, showcases, or market development.
• Activities outside of Canada or not targeting Canadian industry growth.

Eligible geographic areas

• Alignment with industry development goals.
• Potential impact on market visibility and growth.
• Relevance and innovativeness of the project.
• Feasibility and clear project plan.
• Potential to benefit the Canadian sound recording industry broadly.

• Applicants submit project proposals to FACTOR or Musicaction.
• The applications are reviewed for eligibility and relevance to program goals.
• Applicants are notified of the decision, which may include requests for additional information.
• Approved projects enter into a funding agreement outlining terms and conditions.
• Funding is disbursed based on project milestones, with progress reports required throughout.
