How to apply

  • Step 1: Register and apply
    • Register on Outcome Campus Connect.
    • Submit a funding application and/or post a job on the platform.
  • Step 2: Employer review
    • CAHRC reviews the employer application.
    • Eligible employers receive Terms and Conditions.
    • Submit signed Terms and Conditions and student contact information.
  • Step 3: Student review
    • CAHRC contacts the student.
    • Submit the Student Agreement, proof of enrolment, and the Online Information Form.
    • CAHRC confirms student eligibility to the employer.
  • Step 4: Payment request
    • Submit the signed gross salary sheet and supporting documents at the end of the term.
    • CAHRC calculates the wage subsidy and requests an invoice.
    • CAHRC issues the payment within 45 days.

Processing and Agreement

  • CAHRC reviews the employer application and confirms eligibility within 14 days.
  • Eligible employers receive Terms and Conditions and submit student information.
  • CAHRC reviews the student’s eligibility and confirms it to the employer.
  • After the placement, CAHRC reviews payroll documents, calculates the subsidy, and requests an invoice.
  • Payment is processed to the employer within 45 days.

Additional information

  • Confirmation from the post-secondary institution is no longer required.
  • The program is supported through the Government of Canada’s Student Work Placement Program.
  • Remote, hybrid, and in-person placements may be eligible.
  • Funding is paid as reimbursement after review of required documents.
