Grant and Funding Programs Offered by Petawawa Rotary Foundation Inc.

Petawawa Rotary Foundation Inc. is a not-for-profit public foundation established in 2006 in Ontario and registered with the federal charities directorate. Closely associated with the Rotary Club of Petawawa, it was created to provide a vehicle that can issue charitable tax receipts to donors and channel financial support to a wide range of charitable causes. The foundation focuses on raising money so that other qualified organizations can carry out acts of charity, rather than operating front-line programs itself.

The foundation’s mandate is intentionally broad, mirroring the humanitarian and community-service objectives of Rotary. Through its funding activities, the foundation indirectly serves residents of Petawawa and surrounding communities, military families posted to the area, patients of regional health-care institutions, and participants in local recreation and cultural services. It provides an additional mechanism beyond club fundraising activities such as bingo to attract contributions from the broader public.
