History and evolution of the organization

Golden Rule Charity’s founder, Judy Walker, brought decades of experience in event hospitality and a strong understanding of the financial vulnerabilities facing the workforce. After her passing in early 2020, the board and team continued her work, including through the Judy Walker Legacy Campaign, which further extended the charity’s reach and resources for workers in crisis.
On October 31, 2025, Golden Rule Charity formally ceased operations.
