AQEIPS: Quebec Association for Equity and Inclusion in Postsecondary Education
Who Are We?
The Association québécoise pour l’équité et l’inclusion au postsecondaire (AQEIPS) was created in 1991 “By and For” students with disabilities in postsecondary education (DEP, AEC, CEGEP, and university). AQEIPS organizes activities and collaborates on research projects to promote and defend the collective rights of students with disabilities. The organization is actively involved in advancing equity and accessibility within Quebec’s educational institutions.
Our Mission: Supporting Students with Disabilities
AQEIPS offers an annual scholarship program to support students with disabilities in pursuing their studies. This initiative helps reduce financial barriers and encourages academic success at different levels of postsecondary education. Through advocacy, awareness, and community projects, AQEIPS works tirelessly to ensure that every student has a fair and inclusive educational experience.
Testimonials from Our Scholars
Students who have benefited from AQEIPS scholarships often share how this support has impacted their educational journey and personal growth. For example:
- Sabrina: “Being involved in AQEIPS gives me a sense of belonging to my community. Thank you to AQEIPS and donors for this scholarship!”
- Maxim: “The scholarship will let me decrease my work hours and reduce my financial stress while pursuing a combined DEC and Bachelor’s degree.”
- Laurie: “With complex health conditions come additional costs. The scholarship provides essential help since I cannot work during the semester.”
