Financing terms and conditions

  • Tax credit applies only to the increase in property value, up to the first $1,000,000 increment after renovation or construction work.
  • The base tax credit rate for eligible projects is set according to a fixed schedule: 80% in the first year, decreasing annually over five years (e.g., 60% in year two, 40% in year three, 20% in year four).
  • Enhanced credit rates (up to 100%) apply to projects in designated priority sectors, projects eliminating non-compliant uses, multi-storey commercial buildings, or those with recognized environmental certification, subject to annual schedules.

Eligibility

  • The applicant's project must be located within the designated eligible sectors of Saint-Eustache.
  • The project must be of a commercial, industrial, or residential nature, as defined by the program.
  • The project must result in an increase of at least 20% in the municipal property assessment value of the building compared to its previous value.
  • The work must be carried out by a contractor holding a valid licence issued by the Régie du bâtiment du Québec.
  • The construction or renovation must begin after the permit is issued and be completed within the period specified by local urban planning regulations.
